The ultrasound tech gave us a CD with some images of the baby on it. This is the weirdest one. When she took the shot during the ultrasound she described it as a face being pushed against a window. The image is actually just of the nose and mouth, and is rotated to the left with the nose being to the left. You can see the two nostrils, and then “below”, to the right, you can see the mouth and chin. I just don’t quite get why she’d include this image.

So can anyone else believe that I’m 20 weeks along? I can’t. It seems to be going quite fast.
We had our 20 week ultrasound today. The placenta is nowhere near the cervix so I get to try a VBAC. I didn’t realize how stressed I was about the possibility of placenta previa again (even though my risk was still really low) until last night when I didn’t sleep, and then today after the ultrasound when I just felt complete relief.
The baby is growing healthily and normally and has a penis.
I’ll update more about life generally when I’ve had a better night’s sleep. Not that there’s really a whole lot exciting happening at the moment.
